Congratulations To A Client & Fellow VOA
I had the true pleasure of working for a fellow voiceover actor, Anthony Reece, some time ago. It was a great experience, so when I heard of his Crystal Reel Award, I couldn't pass up sending along a HUGE congratulations. I had first heard about it through Voice Over Times and since I had worked with Anthony previously, I asked if I could toss a quick blog post up for him and requested some additional information about the project.
In his email Mr. Reece said: "I'm proud to have been able to lend the narration on such a great story. Very heroic the Zabinski's were."
Below is a statement put out by his assistants, the VoiceTOONS Team:
We are proud to announce that VoiceTOONSstudio director Anthony Reecehas won the 2009 Crystal Reel Award by the Florida Motion Picture & Television Association for his Narration work on the Documentary "Save Haven"
The documentary was produced by Blue Heron Films, and tells the story of heroic zookeeper Jan Zabinski and his family, who successfully hid 300 Jewish men, women, and children from the Gestapo inside the Warsaw Zoo, Poland during World War II. The film has received world wide attention with over 12 million views at the IMDB alone.
The film will be a permanently archived film on display at both Yad Vashem in Jerusalem and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC and is also exhibited to visitors at the Warsaw Zoo in Poland.
We want to congratulate Mr. Reece.
